The network is run by the people who use it
PAX holders decide how Paxeer X works: its fees, its markets, its upgrades and its safety switches.
There is no board meeting and no quarterly review. A proposal goes up, the vote runs for an hour, and the result takes effect at a block everyone can see.
From idea to in force
Four steps, and the slowest one is the conversation.
01
Raise it where others can see it
A change starts as a conversation: a thread in Discord or an issue on GitHub that says what is wrong or missing and who it affects. Plenty of ideas are settled right there.
02
Put it to the network
When an idea is ready, anyone can submit it as a proposal with a PAX deposit. The deposit keeps the queue serious and comes back when the vote closes.
03
Vote for one hour
Every PAX holder who stakes gets a vote, weighted by how much they stake. A standard vote runs one hour. An urgent fix runs twenty minutes.
04
Watch it take effect
A passed proposal takes effect at a named block, so every node switches at the same moment and nobody has to coordinate a restart by hand.
What a vote can change
The settings that shape what it costs to use the network and how safely it runs are not set in a back office. They are parameters, and a vote moves them.
Quick answers
Have a say in where the network goes
